Administration Department

The Department of Administration is responsible for the following activities and programs:
  • Offices of Council and Mayor
  • Offices of Manager and Assistant Manager

Divisions & Offices

  1. Manager & Assistant Manager

    The Borough Manager is Thomas J. Fountaine. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Borough, overseeing all Borough Departments.

  2. Centre Tax Agency/Tax Services

  3. Communications

    The Communications Office develops and maintains community and media relations to present municipal information to the public by providing support and counsel to staff and elected officials.

  4. Financial Services

    The Finance Services Department is in charge of matters concerning financial accounting, reporting services, payroll, revenue/tax collection, risk management, and parking revenue collection. The Department also provides financial services to the Centre Region Council of Governments (COG).

  1. Human Resources

    The Human Resources Department employs approximately 175 employees. Positions with the Borough are posted as they become available.

  2. Information Technology

    The Information Technology Department provides all technology services for the Borough and technology services to surrounding governmental entities through the Regional Technology Coalition (RTC).

  3. Purchasing and Risk Management

    The Purchasing Department is responsible for the administration of the Borough’s Purchasing Ordinance and regulations.
