The mission of the State College Neighborhood & Community Services is to prevent and control disease, promote healthy lifestyles and enforce ordinances that protect public health and enhance the quality of life in the community. This is accomplished by three separate divisions: Ordinance Enforcement, Public Health, and Office of Community Engagement.
Public Health conducts restaurant inspections in State College, as well as Townships of Ferguson, Patton and College. Within this section you will information on the "Food Establishment Inspections and Licenses" AND "Food & Health Safety Education Materials & Courses".
The Office of Community Engagement serves as a resource for student-residents and long-term residents and strives to cultivate positive relations between them. The Office of Community Engagement helps ensure that all Borough neighborhoods are sustainable and inclusive by supporting community capacity-building efforts and encouraging student-residents and long-term residents to participate in community living.
