The Borough of State College Parking Department will not be enforcing the “No Parking: 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.” and the one- and two-hour restrictions beginning at noon on Friday, September 6, 2019, in all of the Borough EXCEPT the Highlands Neighborhood due to the *Residential Parking Pilot Program. Restrictions will go back into place at 6 a.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2019. No lawn parking will be permitted.
*2019 CHANGES: The Borough will be implementing the Highlands Residential Parking Pilot Program. During large events in the past, the Borough has lifted overnight restrictions throughout the entire Borough because the volume of permissions is too great for staff to process. This will change for the Highlands Neighborhood for the duration of the Pilot Program. Areas outside the Highlands in the Borough will still have the overnight restrictions lifted. The area impacted by this change is marked in the map below.
Vehicles must be parked on streets signed for the permits within the boundaries of the Pilot Program. Any vehicle without a valid permit in the area shown above will be subject to a fine.
*This applies to overnight parking only. Parking inside the mapped area during the day on Saturday and Sunday will be allowed.
Visit the Highlands Parking page for more information.
All Pennsylvania Vehicle Code and No Parking Anytime violations will be strictly enforced. Vehicle Code violations include, but are not limited to:
Cars in violation will be subject to ticketing and/or towing. All metered parking will also be strictly enforced from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at street meters and in the metered parking lots.
If you have any further questions about these changes, please contact the Borough of State College Parking Department at (814) 278-4769.
