Civil Service Commission
The Civil Service Commission consists of three residents of the Borough or municipalities served by the Borough's Police Department, and are appointed by Council for terms of six years.
The Commission has the power to prescribe, amend, and enforce rules and regulations governing police appointments and promotions. In addition, the Commissioners hold appeal hearings on disciplinary actions, when appropriate. The Civil Service Commission meets as needed. For questions about this authority, call 814-234-7115.
