State College Borough Water Authority
The goal of the State College Borough Water Authority is to provide the Centre Region with an excellent supply of potable water at the lowest possible cost, and to provide top-quality service to our customers.

University Area Joint Authority
The University Area Joint Authority, UAJA, is located on the outskirts of the city of State College (the home of Penn State), in central Pennsylvania. UAJA is the municipal authority providing Wastewater Treatment, or Water Recycling services, to much of State College and the Centre Region. In addition to providing Wastewater Recycling, UAJA is also proud to operate an Award Winning Biosolids Composting facility.

Centre Region Council of Goverments
The Centre Region Council of Governments is a voluntary association of State College Borough and the townships of College, Ferguson, Halfmoon, Harris and Patton. It was established in 1969 to provide cost effective and high quality public services. The COGs service area is about 150 square miles with a population of 96,000 residents.

Centre Region Code Administration
The CRCA is responsible for the review, permit issuance and inspection of building construction, rental housing and commercial fire safety in the Centre Region, through the enforcement of the locally adopted and state mandated codes.

Centre Area Transportation Authority
The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) is a joint municipal authority formed under the “Municipal Authorities Act of 1945”. It was formed for the purpose of providing public transportation services within the the boundaries of its member municipalities: State College Borough and the Townships of Ferguson, Patton, Halfmoon, College and Harris. Subsequent agreements with the Borough of Bellefonte, Spring Township, Benner Township and Halfmoon Township have allowed for service extensions to Bellefonte, Pleasant Gap and Stormstown.

Centre Region Parks & Recreation
The mission of Centre Region Parks and Recreation is to serve Centre Region residents of all ages throughout the year with a variety of recreation opportunities for enriching their lives through the use of programs and facilities, leadership resources, and technical assistance services for participating municipalities, individuals and groups.

Centre Region Office of Emergency Management
Pennsylvania Title 35 requires municipalities to adopt an emergency operations plan, designate an emergency operations center, and recommend the appointment of an emergency management coordinator. Since 1990, on behalf of its six member municipalities, the Centre Region Council of Governments (COG) has operated a regional emergency management program.

Centre County Government
Centre County serves an a total area of 1,112 square miles (2,880.1 km2), of which 1,108 square miles (2,869.7 km2) is land and 4 square miles (10.4 km2) (0.39%) is water. As of the 2010 Census, there were 153,990 people, 57,573 households, and 31,256 families residing in the county.
