The Department of Administration provides timely and accurate information to residents by developing and maintaining strong relationships with community and media organizations.
The Finance Services Department is in charge of matters concerning financial accounting, reporting services, payroll, revenue/tax collection, risk management, and parking revenue collection. The Department also provides financial services to the Centre Region Council of Governments (COG).
The Human Resources Department employs approximately 175 employees. Positions with the Borough are posted as they become available.
The Information Technology Department provides all technology services for the Borough and technology services to surrounding governmental entities through the Regional Technology Coalition (RTC).
The Borough Manager is Thomas J. Fountaine. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Borough, overseeing all Borough Departments.
The key functions under this division include Public Health and Ordinance Enforcement. Public Health conducts restaurant inspections in the Borough of State College as well as the Townships of Ferguson, Patton, and College Ordinance Enforcement Officers conduct education and enforcement of various local ordinance violations that impact the quality of life and health and safety of our neighborhoods.
