Mission

The mission of the Public Health Division is to prevent and control disease, promote healthy lifestyles and enforce ordinances that protect public health and enhance the quality of life in the community. This is accomplished through these divisions:

  • Ordinance Enforcement

    Neighborhood Services is responsible for educating the community on various local ordinance violations that may impact the quality of life and health and safety of the community.

  • Public Health

    Public Health conducts restaurant inspections in State College, as well as Townships of Ferguson, Patton and College. Within this section you will find information on the "Food Establishment Inspections and Licenses" and "Food and Health Safety Education Materials and Courses."

  • iWorQ

    iWorQ is a customer portal that the Borough of State College utilizes. This portal allows for easy viewing of existing food licenses or completing any of the following applications: Retail Food Establishment, Peddling, Soliciting, and Canvassing (TRD), Tattoo and Massage Facility, and Mobile Food Facility
