The Borough's policy is to preserve and protect its neighborhoods. The Department of Neighborhood and Community identifies nuisance properties by analyzing complaint statistics; providing an opportunity for residents to bring their concerns about properties adversely affecting their neighborhoods; and eliminating on-going nuisances caused by irresponsible residents or property owners through the use of persuasion, mediation, warnings, enforcement and fines.
If you have on-going problems with a property in your neighborhood and would like to determine if the Neighborhood Services Team can help, please write to: Neighborhood Services Team, State College Health Department, 243 South Allen Street, State College, Pennsylvania, 16801, or call the Health Department at (814) 234-7191 or contact us via email.
