State College Borough Office Closure on Friday, June 19
The State College Municipal Building will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, June 22.
Upcoming Travel Restrictions on Blue Course Drive Between Stratford Drive and Stratford Court
On Wednesday, June 17, West Penn Power will be excavating Blue Course Drive between Stratford Drive and Stratford Court for repairs on underground electric lines. Work will take place between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. and will cause the parking lane and sidewalk to be closed. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use caution when traveling near work areas. Hawbaker will be excavating Westerly Parkway between O'Bryan Lane and South Allen Street for installation of a new shared-use pathway. Work will take place between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will cause one travel lane, the parking lane, and sidewalk to be closed. Postponed: Movies Under the Stars Showing on Friday, June 12
UPDATE: Due to weather, the showing of Wicked on Friday, June 12, has been postponed. A new date will be shared when the showing is rescheduled.

Calder Way Improvement Project Phase 2 & 2A Community Update
The Borough of State College is writing to provide you with the latest updates regarding Phase 2 & 2A of the Calder Way Improvement Project.
This week, the contractor finished the installation of water and sanitary sewer lines from Cresson Alley to South Atherton Street. Water and sanitary sewer line installation is complete for the project.
Next week, Calder Way from South Fraser Street to Cresson Alley will be closed to complete final paving. Paving will also close South Burrowes Street on Monday, June 15, from New Alley to College Avenue.
Phase 2A, the contractor (Glenn O. Hawbaker) continued the installation of water main along Hetzel Street. This work will take place over the next few weeks. Vehicular traffic along Hetzel Street from Beaver Avenue to College Avenue is closed.

Work will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and will cause the street to be closed. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use caution when traveling near work areas.
