Trick or Treat Costume Safety Tips
Trick or Treat will be on Friday, October 31, in the Borough of State College! Planning to take part? 🎃 Before you pick out your costume, the State College Police Department suggests that you keep these safety tips in mind while shopping:
- Choose light-colored or reflective costumes to stay visible after dark
- Avoid masks that block vision — face paint is a safer, fun alternative
- Make sure costumes fit well to prevent trips or falls — check the length and comfort
- Keep possible temperature variations in mind to stay comfortable
- Look for soft, flexible accessories instead of hard or sharp props
- Don’t forget to pick out comfortable shoes for walking around safely
These tips can help make trick or treat safe and fun for everyone!
