Aiming to Bring Students and Residents Together During LION Bash

State College, PA – On Saturday, August 25, at 9 a.m., the first ever LION Dash will take place as part of Penn State’s Fall Welcome Week. The primary goal of the race is to introduce the State College community to new students early in their Penn State careers.

“State College has a number of unique neighborhoods, parks, and businesses just a short distance from campus, and we have worked with Left, Right, Repeat to plan a course that will showcase these aspects of the community. We hope that LION Dash will serve as a foundation for students to learn more about the community that surrounds campus so that they are truly able to make it a home for themselves over the next few years.” Molly K. Nulty, a member of Student Orientation and Transition Programs, commented.

The event is part of the Borough’s annual LION (Living in One Neighborhood) Bash, which aims to highlight all the organizations and resources available to students and residents. LION Dash leads into LION Bash which takes place Wednesday, August 29, and features food, music, interactive stations, and entertainment.
