                                         Pedestrian Crash
 
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
 
On December 3, 2019, at 5:04 PM, The State College Police responded to the 800 block of South Atherton Street for a report of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian was a 28 year old International Penn State Student  who appeared to be crossing Atherton Street from Logan Avenue in a westbound direction. The pedestrian sustained severe blunt force trauma and was airlifted to UPMC Altoona. The striking vehicle was a Subaru Forester which was operated by a 90 year old State College man. The vehicle was travelling in a southbound direction. Alpha Fire Company and Centre Lifelink assisted with the scene. The roadway was shut down for approximately two hours.
