Bring your child in their car seat during the designated hours and have a nationally certified child passenger safety technicians evaluate your seat and teach you how to safely transport your child. Your child safety seat will also be checked for recalls. *Even if your child is not available, your seat can be evaluated

Design Review Board Regular Meeting

May 22, 11:00 AM @ State College Municipal Building

The Design Review Board: Studies and inventories visual assets and liabilities of the community; reviews plans, activities and programs which bear upon the appearance of State College and its environment; initiates, promotes and assists in the implementation of programs to beautify the community; and prepares plans for the improved appearance of State College, whether it be on public or private property. The DRB also serves as the Sign Review Board for the Borough and is advisory to the Planning Commission and Council.

Historic Resource Commission Meeting

May 21, 12:00 PM @ State College Municipal Building

The Historic Resources Commission was established in 1995 to advise Council on matters pertaining to historic resources, advocate for the preservation of those resources, and serve as a clearinghouse for information and education on such matters. The Commissions reviews and makes recommendations on construction plans involving historic structures and work closely with the State College Planning Commission and Design Review Board.

Trash to Treasure

May 4 - June 1

Volunteer with Trash to Treasure from May 4 until June 1. Each year over 60 tons of donated goods from Penn State students moving out of the residence halls is collected and sorted to be resold at a discounted price. It is the largest recycling event in the area and allows community members to get great deals on a variety of items while supporting local health and human service agencies.
