Refuse & Recycling
how to purchase compost

General Information

The Borough’s Public Works Department serves all residential and commercial properties in the municipality. Use of the service is mandatory and is the only legal means of disposing of refuse in the Borough.

New Refuse & Organics Recycling Program Starts April 1
The Borough will be implementing its new refuse program beginning the week of April 1.
The new collection system uses Borough provided carts for refuse and organics collection. These carts will be delivered to each residence starting the week of March 25. Please check for your cart(s) daily as we cannot guarantee delivery on a specific date.

Participation in the organics program is encouraged, but not mandatory.

For more information on the organics recycling program watch our video, The Next Step: Organics Recycling, which shows how we get from curb to compost.

If you lose any of the information provided with your cart delivery, check out our Resources page to access these documents online.
