Calder Way Improvement Project Phase 2 & 2A Community Update
This past week, the contractor for Phase 2 (Terra Works) completed water line installation from South Fraser Street to South Burrowes Street. Calder Way from South Fraser Street to Burrowes Street remains closed to vehicular traffic. Next week, concrete restoration will begin for parts of the project area, water services connections will be made, and the installation of electric conduit will begin.
Phase 2A, the contractor (Glenn O. Hawbaker) installed two new manholes and 85 feet of sanitary main line at the intersection of Hetzel Street and East Calder Way. Crews will continue to install new lines at this location next week. Vehicular traffic remains closed from Hetzel Street to East College Avenue, as well as from Hetzel Street to Wilson Alley.
