Join the Borough of State College and the Center for Alternatives in Community Justice (CACJ) for the next conversation in the Community Conversations Series. This session explores incarceration and reentry through a local lens, starting with a panel of local experts followed by an interactive Reentry Simulation led by Penn State’s Restorative Justice Initiative.

You're Invited to Fall Treats for All 🎃
No tricks here, just a morning full of treats. Fall Treats for All will take place Thursday, October 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Municipal Building’s Community Room. 🎃
Kids and chaperones are invited to come enjoy festive snacks, hands-on activities from Schlow Library and Discovery Space, fun games, a coloring station, and friendly costumes throughout the morning. A sensory-friendly time will be available from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m., with dimmed lights, low noise, and minimal scents.

State College Celebrates the 5th Multicultural Unity Fair
State College, Pa.-- Join the Community Diversity Group and the Borough of State College for the fifth Multicultural Unity Fair on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the State College Municipal Building, located at 243 South Allen Street, State College.
“The Borough of State College looks forward to this collaboration with the Community Diversity Group to host an event that brings so much awareness to the rich cultures, traditions, and identities that make up the State College community,” says Borough Manager Tom Fountaine. “This event is one of the many ways that the community continues to show that all are welcome here.”
This family-friendly event celebrates the rich diversity in the community. Enjoy live performances, explore cultural displays, and savor delicious international cuisine (available for purchase). This year’s schedule is as follows:

“This is a once-a-year opportunity to celebrate and enjoy the natural talents of children, students, and adults from many different backgrounds and cultures within our community and to learn about their unique and beautiful arts,” says Community Diversity Group President Carol Eicher. “Organizations that showcase and support the multi-facets of what makes the State College Region the wonderful place it is to live, work, and play, will be available to share information, answer questions, provide giveaways, and demonstrate aspects of the cultures they represent.”

The Borough of State College is developing a Climate Action, Resiliency, and Environmental Sustainability Plan in efforts to reduce the community’s greenhouse gas footprint, enhance environmental conservation efforts, and assist the community members in adapting to the impacts of climate change. The Borough is seeking feedback on community priorities and proposed strategies for this plan.
