Celebrate Juneteenth at 7th Annual Block Party
Celebrate Juneteenth at the seventh annual Juneteenth block party, Roots, Rhythm, and Resilience: Celebrating Our Legacy. Start the celebration off on Friday, June 19, with a Juneteenth Arts Exhibition at Woskob Family Gallery at 6 p.m. From noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, along the 100 block of Fraser Street, join in on the fun at the Block Party Celebration, featuring performers, vendors, and celebrations.

The Design Review Board meeting on Tuesday, June 16, has been canceled. The next Design Review Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, at 2 p.m.
The Redevelopment Authority meetings scheduled on Wednesday, June 17, and Wednesday, July 22, are canceled. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 19, at noon.
Movies Under the Stars: Wicked
Ready for a night under the stars watching the big screen? Join the State College Borough for the Movies Under the Stars Series all summer long!
The Borough will be playing Wicked on Friday, June 12, starting at dusk at Sidney Friedman Park. Bring a comfy seat and enjoy a FREE movie. This event is open to all ages.

Upcoming Travel Restrictions on West College Avenue Between South Burrowes Street and North Atherton Street
From Tuesday, June 9, through Thursday, June 11, Kuharchik Construction will be excavating West College Avenue between South Burrowes Street and North Atherton Street for traffic signal upgrades. Work will take place between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will cause the sidewalk to be closed. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use caution when traveling near work areas. Upcoming Travel Restrictions on East Beaver Avenue Between South Allen Street and Humes Alley
From Monday, June 8, through Wednesday, June 10, the State College Borough Water Authority will be excavating East Beaver Avenue between South Allen Street and Humes Alley for concrete restoration. Work will take place between 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will cause one travel lane to be closed. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use caution when traveling near work areas. New Online Permit Application Process
The Borough of State College has transitioned to an online portal for right-of-way permit applications. This includes permits for sanitary sewer work, street excavation work, and street occupancy. Paper applications will no longer be accepted.
